Innocence Lost

Wrapped in a blanket of love
on a dark stormy night
our innocence stands in the way
like a locked door without a key

our halos crash into each other
like bumper cars at an amusement park

we whisper softly to each other
tender words of love and kindness
reveling in the nectar of our newborn feelings

the passion hangs thickly over our heads
like the Sword of Damocles
just waiting to fall
and to crush our innocence
once and for all

to smash it into tiny pieces
and to scatter those invisible bits to the winds
sprinkling them blithely around edges of the sky
never again to be found

for as our scarlet passion glows hotter
and night's shadowy skies
give way to dawn's crimson clouds
our halos fade away
and we leave our innocence behind

(smiles) Mmmmmmmm...this is both bittersweet and very beautiful at the same time, it is sad to see innocence is lost, but also sooooooo beautiful to share the heart of another in love and passion! (kiss on cheek) So beautifully sensual and wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! (sigh) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Wonderful expression of love that burns and fades.
The last verse was especially moving and says it all.

I enjoyed your thoughts very much~

Thanks

Noah...thanks so much for your reply.
It was love at first site for us...and that innocent love still burns bright.
