The sky is a robin’s egg blue
nestled within clouds of champagne
the dawn hatches brilliant hues
a mango sun incubates the dawn
bursting essence of a claret rose
sweet petals bloom a purplish pink
silvery mist kisses bluegrass
with soft moistening lips of dew
bathing gently butterflies
wings of a periwinkle blue
cappuccino dances in the breeze
a new day like a baby robin born
a sienna-breasted robin
within the birdbath of the morn

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.
