A heart declaring our love
Is etched upon the sand
You and I are admiring our artwork
As we stand here hand in hand

The cold wind envelops our bodies
But it doesn't bother me that much
As I'll never really feel the cold
If I have the warmth of your touch

You wrap yourself around me
And I'm imprisoned within your arms
Your love surrounds me like a blanket
Keeping me safe from any harm

The seagulls hover above us
As they search upon the land
You kiss me so very passionately
As the waves crash upon the sand

So besotted we are in one another
Our love is deeper than the sea
Many hours of constant pleasure
Is what you always give to me

We hear the steady beating of wings
As the seagulls take to the skies
An expression of love and happiness
Is what I see now in your eyes

This day is almost over
As the tide moves in so fast
We knew our heart in the sand
Could not be here to last

But our love it has no boundaries
Our two hearts are so content
Never will we forget this day
Or these treasured times we've spent

This was a real pleasure to read Sue.  And OH!  Now I know what you look like.  I finally saw your picture.  What a nice caring smile you have.  Now back to the poem.  I was immediately drawn to the fact that the sand heart would vanish in time.  But the love of the poem would be eternal.  A great job as usual Sue.  Your friend, Roger
