I'm just a girl again when I think of you and although all the heartfelt songs that whispered about a Daddy's strong hands never really applied to the image of you I had I still say that somewhere there is some truth to it. It just took me this long to realize you as the man you are and the man you had potential for being then. You were always my peacemaker the gentle one when a wrath of typical childhood stood too strongly in my presence. Always there to talk me through the whys and showing with firm hands what was expected of me as I grew. There were times when I was concious of your mistakes but who was I but child then? I had no rights to point them out to you and I have no rights for doing so now. "Honor thy father and Mother" has far more meaning at this very moment than I ever could grasp in those church pews in the distant years when I was there and you refused to go. But feel not badly for that, my Father for God knew when you were to be summoned and who was I but child to tell you then when it was time for you to heed His call? Now I feel as if they years have slipped before my still too young eyes as I watch time and God have their ways with you. But I am left with a joy in knowing that I could always call you Daddy and you would always understand the me that no one else did. And although you never made a great proclamation of knowing I know that you chose to acknowledge it in lesson teaching portions. Right now there are so many things to be said of you and God has equipped me with these words for doing so but I cannot seem to fit them all into one space but I will one day, piece by piece until my love and appreciation for the great and tender father you have become to me shines enough for all to share and use for example. In a dream last night, we danced and I was at perfect ease in the arms of your love. But I wonder was I dancing with my Father of earth or my Father of Heaven in that dream. Perhaps a litle of both. I remember all the lessons you taught and still wonder at the ones you still teach so here I stand with full realization that I will always be your little girl as all father's say as all daughters often fail to get the full meaning of. There is you in trust and kindess never mocking of my tears always there to offer whatever you can with a surprising gentleness that you must have acquired with age and the help of God. I often wonder still about some of your choices but who am I but child in the wake of your wissomw, Sir? I am not here for questioning the direction you have been given but I can love you. I can cherish you. I can still call you Daddy with a comfort of knowing just how true the measure of that word is to me. I can always remember that the truest gentleman I will ever know will be you my supporter, the head of my household of still too innocent youth. A man in his rarest form. Father when I've a serious reflection of appreciation and Daddy when the world begins to weigh on my shoulders. Pastor when doubts of my faith sneak in to snatch away my hope. A man in his rarest form. I love you. In Acceptance and Thanks for the man that God has made you Your Loving Jenny For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me. |

Now these a words from a daughter that any Father would be proud to have raised. Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |
