Small yappy dogs
Drive me mad. Even when they're grown
Small yappy dogs
Run like gears set on wonky cogs.
They treat the sun as threat unknown
And warn stray leaves away from home-
Small yappy dogs!

Nan

They are annoying, but I have to admire their bravery, considering...

Made me smile, as ponder the implications of small yapping dogs!

Enjoyed!

Nice rondelet, Nan...Do you happen to have a small yappy dog?  The people who used to live next door to me did...and it drove me crazy.

Nice rondelet, got to hand it to the small nervous poodle we had scared the living daylights of a tall thief that snuck in the backdoor of our home!

Nan darling girl Oh my I’m stunned with admiration this has got to be one of you utter utter best. Truly the line and flow in this is absolutely excellent.

How do you manage to do these so well darling heart, truly awesome writing.

I dislike intensely small yapping dogs, and you have displayed them wonderfully.

I am still awed with the ease you write these rondelet things

You are always a fabulous writer, in this you have excelled yourself.

Nan - It has been awhile and I see you haven't changed.  Still taking out your anger on small yappy dogs.lol

Seriously, cute rondelet, but I must take umbrage with the topic of it.  You see, my parents have a small yappy dog, and he is great, except when he's yapping.   His name is Gizmo.

(giggles in delight) Puppies can be little rascals indeed but I can never resist their cuteness and playfulness! (kiss on cheek) So very sweet and adorable, sweet friend, your words are always a delight to read! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Dear Serenity,
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, they must be brave, since they seem to see every blowing leaf as a threat.

Dear Lyra,
No, I don't have a dog. Little Lady frowns on them, especially when they bark. She disapproves of noise on principle. Some cats are like that.

Dear Martin,
My dad always said the thing a burglar fears more than a Rottweiler is a yap-dog. I can see he was right. He almost always was.

Dear Skyfire,
Appreciate the agreement. Two great minds, eh?

Dear Marsha,
I know how you feel about these little yappers. They drive me wild. I used to have a neighbor with three of them. They barked at each other when they had nothing else to bark at. She loved them. I can't think why.

Dear Dave,
I am willing to believe that Gizmo is great when he shuts up, but how often is that?

Dear Juanita,
I do love dogs, but not their barks. The last dog I had woke me (and all the neighbors) up one Sunday morning. He barked for over half an hour. I went out to see what it was, and he was chasing a turtle out of the yard. He barked it from one fence to the other, and that poor turtle just kept chugging along as fast as it could, but it wasn't all that fast.

Dear Noah,
There's nothing so adorable as a puppy. You are right about that.

Nan
