In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-02-05 02:33 PM

Another in the ramble series.....

~~~~~~~
If water were still
If water were clearer
Would you then see
The reflection
Of stones
In the creek
Painted by sand
And lapping
Ripples
Or the mirror from which
It flowed
Serene images swimming
In their flesh
Melting through
Iridescent cloud
Structure, for a fraction
Of time
Laying amidst silence
On the edge of reality
I touch the water crying
Wondering, if the sky opens
Would I see myself?
Could I notice that sometimes beauty
Is the rain on my shoulders?
Fear is naming love,
Being scared to fall through
Life learning
Nothing, could it be that complex
Or is it that simple?
Somewhere between the clouds
And mountains
I’ve lost the hue
That describes
How ships sail the mighty ocean
On their voyage
Time becomes music
Love becomes the dance
Does this compel the mystery?
Of the gentle slide
Beneath his skin
Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows
of my heart
If this were water, then I would surely drink until I was full.
Brilliant, thank you.
NOT rambles....pure poetry...
no...better yet...to use your own words...
Gentle slides...gentle glides.
this is stunning in its imagery...and in its intend.
more exquisiteness from your gifted pen
You speak to me in riddles and you speak to me in rhymes.
My body aches to breathe your breath ... your words keep me alive.
Your rambles are beautiful Lauren.  Miss your words.  Hugs.
Such gently-flowing thoughts~
'Could I notice that sometimes beauty
Is the rain on my shoulders?'
AND ... this little jewel-of-thought caught my eye~
Lovely where we find 'beauty'~
A picture is suppose to be worth a thousand words ... yet your words are priceless to their pictures.
You can ramble me anytime!!
Hope you find your "hue".
Lauren,
If this is rambling,
I'm frightened of focus.
