Clouds

What magic this,
From out of nothing, something.

Aye, the pathways of the sky
Laced with magical dust lie
Potent in potential.

And spirits ‘bued with pleasure,
At the task of sorting
Clime and temp and pressure,
Do sweep and throw and blow
With dust and ions,
Forming lambs and lions,
As you will.

I enjoy finding faces in clouds, animals always seem to easy, so I look for the faces, of angels...

Dear Joe, that picture and your poem took my breath away. My favorite subject to paint is skies, the beauty of the sky is unsurpassed,It is different every single day, and this was lovely. floria

Thank you all for your kind words.
I was mesmerized by this cloud as I watched it slowly forming. It was the only cloud in a clear blue sky and I had to wonder just what must be going on for it to take the form it was taking.  It was like someone took a broom and swept a great cloud of dust to begin the formation.  I have a scientific background and I'm aware of the conditions for clouds to form but what triggers the unusual shapes is still a mystery.

Thanks again,
Joe
