The Flavor Of His Kiss

It starts with a yearning desire
to feel his warm embrace
Flows through her like a burning fire
giving a blush to face

She can almost taste passion’s lips
when breathing manly scent
While trying hard to come to grips
her heart gives it’s consent

As her body starts to tremble
she sees his face descend
All her senses now assemble
for what his lips intend

At first a gentle, sweet caress
whispers across her cheek
Breathing a sigh she can’t repress
she melts while legs go weak

Breathing as one without a pause
they feed upon love’s bliss
Aflame, she now knows the cause,
the flavor of his kiss

Karen...this is so beautiful.  It reminds me of the first time my husband and I kissed.  It sort of took me by surprise...especially the feelings that it gave me.  At the time, I had been widowed for a little over a year, and for a year and a half previous to that, I had been a caregiver for my first husband while he was very sick.  I had been married for 34 yrs...so I had forgotten what brand new love feels like.......Now I know, its delicious...and that was almost 2 yrs ago and its still delicious!
Thanks for sharing.

Brian...You are just too cute, my friend. Thank you....I am so glad you liked it. **big hugs**

Newell....and a very big cyber kiss for you too...

MC...I am so glad you discovered a new love who would share such passionate kisses with you...You are deserving of the very best...I know you are the type who will always be set aflame by his kiss. It has been over 3 years since I tasted a kiss...but I still remember how it curled my toes...**big hugs**

J.K....I am glad you could feel the passion...I sure felt it when I was writing this. **big hugs**

Nancy...*giggling* some how I knew kisses would excite you...I am so glad you like the poem...**big hugs** keep kissing him..and I am sure you will set him aflame every time you do.

Now THIS kiss I prefer to chocolate.
Karen, 3 years is too long. Same here, except for 2 notable exceptions of a few days a year. What shall we do?
We  should email and come up with a plan.
