As the band of gold was slipped on her hand.
She silently thank God for sending her this man.

As he looked at this woman soon to be his wife.
He silently thank God for bringing her in his life.

Their wedding day was as beautiful as could be.
The love they shared everyone could see.

Their love would last til the end of time.
But a tragedy would happen on down the line.

They were married six months to the day.
When the Lord called her husband away.

To his wife he had said please don`t cry.
No more pain will I feel inside.

My love for you will forever be.
Later on in heaven your face I`ll see.

He closed his eyes and he was gone.
Heaven now would be his new home.

She looked at her husband to young to die.
She thought about the baby she carried inside.

A part of him would always be near.
Then in her eyes one tear did appear.

I will not cry as she held his hand.
She kissed the hand that wore his wedding band.

Goodbye my love she said as she walked away.
In my heart your love will stay.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Juanita, this is sooooooo heartbreaking, my heart goes out to her in tears, but also I know deep down she will forever be blessed by true love for he always loved her and nothing could ever change that! (kiss on cheek) I hope that she will find new true love soon, she deserves the greatest joy always! We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is sad but very beautiful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Juanita, thank yopu for sharing!

Difficult to type when one's eyes are blurred by tears...very emotional poem...sad...tragic!!!Penned from a loving heart!!!

North Carolina Girl - sad write for sure, but you have a special way of writing your poems whether sad or happy ones. Just the right touch...
