You raise your pen above the paper
and feel your strength begin to taper
right off like wax which slowly drips,
could it be you're too pooped to PIP?

" But no, this cannot be!" you mutter,
as if a flaming wick had sputtered
on back to life, so you persist,
in trying to move your aching wrist.

Which acts as if it had the notion
that snails possess the blinding motion
of skiers on a downhill trip.
Perhaps you are too pooped to PIP.

You grapple with this huge dilemma,
" Can it be fixed?" Hey, no problem(a),
just prop eyelids up with toothpicks
and see if that will do the trick.

Yet that is only half the battle.
At times it leads to mindless prattle,
like this, it seems I've lost my grip,
it must be I'm too pooped to PIP!

There has to be some way around it.
I'm staying up 'til I have found it,
pen glued to hand, so it won't slip,
quite honestly, too pooped to PIP!

(giggles in delight) Aw, I think I caught the pun here, writer's block!!! I believe we all have this feeling every now and then, some days we just don't have the passion, but then whenever you let your imagination run wild, you will always have such beautiful words coming out like you always write! pooped beyond pooped right now, but NEVER EVER too pooped to PIP! Very cute. Made me giggle, and hey, even woke me up a bit. PIP on.
