Poets Words

In the poet’s voice I can relate
With words they try to stop the hate
Plaguing the world in which we live
And teach us all how to forgive
The ones that hurt, the ones that hate
And help them from their sour fate
Armed with words, they stay their ground
Attacking evil whereverfound
With relentless fervor and strong belief
They battle the darkness, give no relief
With truth and love they shoot for the heart
And then the words will do their part
To soften souls once ominous and black
And help them find a kinder track
So listen close and listen well
As poets spin their magic spell
For what they feel and what they say
May help you on your judgment day
