Life is like a sleepy river
sometimes hard to deliver.
Taking us along the way
feet in water on most days.

Give me this soft flow
of a river we all know.
Take me into the stream
of my life’s river dream.

Down the river slow
life as we know will go.
Keeping us in tune.
Sharing a lazy moon.

Let me bathe in the deep
of Sleepy River in sleep.
Let me wash my soul free
as this river does carry me.

For I love this Sleepy River
where life I will discover
and let my feelings show
as I down Sleepy River go.
