I place seven kisses in your cup Your cup of grace from which you sup If my love, you'll drink them up You'll see the kisses placed in cup First the kiss to you from me It is a kiss of mystery And then because I love you true Extend this kiss from me to you The second kiss I've placed with pluck It can send you lots of luck It brings the laughter held by puck From glass to you - so pucker up See the third upon the rim It's a muse that's blowing in Music, song and poetry's vim All for you upon my whim The fourth kiss sparkles in delight This the kiss to seal your night Passion's kiss given in flight To soothe and calm and bring love's light See the fifth - a kiss of power To guide you in your darkest hour To sweeten life when all's gone sour This the kiss to make mine "our" Here's the sixth a kiss of peace In which I offer hope's release Take this kiss I offer please To use when falling to your knees The seventh kiss a gift from God To help you stand in saintly shod To gift new strength to walk this sod A kiss that heals from pain of rod So takes these kisses one to seven Use them as your own heart's leaven From me to you a taste of heaven Kisses seven are freely given Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Keth darling heart sister and holder of my dreamers soul what utter beauty darling heart truly this is one of your utter utter best. YES I know you knew I was going to say that. I sometimes wonder if I’ll run out of words of delight to describe your writing, but I hope I won’t. I could go all slushy on you now and say that there’s never anything but wonder that flows from your pen but you know that darling heart don’t you? Mmmmm of course you do If I could write like you what joy I’d see The words would form with light collectively There’d be no cessation of poetic intent I’d compose and I’d write the words I meant My pen would flow with words divine If my pen were yours I would write so fine I’d be happy to inscribe the words so true And fill with delight this page of blue   Love and warm stuff As always Slushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace St John ch2 v1 |
