 This is for my son Victor's new wife, Courtney. She is an opera singer, with a beautiful voice.
You sing with the voice of beauty your echo so serene your manner so vivacious intelligence so keen you sing with the voice of kindness so fluid like sweet wine the tone and cadence of your song show love in every line so glad my son has chosen you to be his lovely wife to have you by his side for all the moments of his life for memories in the making he'll always have you there as you sing your perfect melody for both of you to share you sing with the voice of reason your strength and spirit, true with special pride and love our family welcomes you |

Karilea...we actually were going to collaborate. My older son, in addition to being a med student, was also a very talented composer of music. He was going to write music for my poetry and Courtney was going to sing it....but, Eric passed away very suddenly, about a year and a half ago...and our family now has a big hole in it. Maybe someday...we'll get the collaboration thing going somehow...but right now, neither of us is ready for that.  copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |
