To walk with thee I see you there lying near the grate every day I walk past you, do not know what to say It is so cold out there, shivering thought I am warm in the overcoat I bought Just ice and snow, no sun to keep warm No one reaching down to take your arm The air filled in snow, flake after flake Falling down so slow to built your grave Busy with the things we do We just keep on walking in front of you Your eyes once have been full of laughter Now just sad, forever after It would lift your heart to greater heights If only one would look down to see you plight Live has never been easy on you You lost your Job, your House and your Family too I walk past you, silently every day I am amberrest, so I don’t say My heart however tells me what should I do Is, to walk one day within your shoe I would not know how to survive To comprehend or realize I would die to live one day like you “Just as have you” If only I could be true to my thought Leave you with the coat I just bought Overcome the pain within my chest You still would be here And not put to Rest Today I wish I would have had taken your arm Lead you to my home, to keep you warm How much better the would the world be If I only had ones listened to me Tomorrow there will be no you How can it be? Because, I didn’t walk with thee The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Helmut, I am SO very glad to see you again, and this, Sir, is something that every country's man [or woman] could write about... more's the pity... thank you for speaking our hearts... |

Helmut...so good to see you! What a touching poem...we all need to look with eyes of empathy, before it's too late. |

Thank you kindly for your words and the OH SO Warm welcome As it is, work is still taking most of my time. I think these days one has to be grateful. Miss you all, but I will snoop around. Sorry that I cannot spend as much time here as I should and also that I do not add comments. I am reading alot of your poetry and it is enchanting.
