“SLEEPY RIVER”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Just slipping and sliding,
on the ripples of dreams…
Eyes closed just seeking,
going somewhere, it seems…
Sitting back seeing waters,
reflections here, in my mind…
Pools of thought I wonder,
maybe not things, left behind…
A new beginning perhaps,
I’m here, one more time…
Only wanting loves share,
it’s a need I have, to rhyme…
Come with me on my journey,
take my hand to an adventure…
Together drifting on a lazy day,
anywhere, down this sleepy river…
Oh this is so beautiful, Bill...but all of the rivers around here are frozen right now.
except the river of poetry which comes through my screen.
Very well done, indeed!
sure, a river is a great feeling for new beginnings, Bill, this is very comforting to read. Thank you.
