You can't go back to darkness once you've seen the light You cannot forsake the day though morning turns to night In every day life's turning so turn and face your plight You can't go back to darkness though cradled in the night You can't go back to bleakness though despair is throng You have held onto the light and it would be so wrong You have struggled long and hard and now you must be strong You can't go back, go forward and fill your heart with song You can't go back to darkness once the daylight's come Although the darkness reaches out to hold you in its strum The deep of night can hold no sway while with light you thrum You can't go to darkness when heeding your heart's drum You can't go back to sorrow though betrayed by those held dear The darkness will not apprehend if towards the day you steer Though the clouds are gathering the path of life is clear Sorrow only lasts a day … daylight lasts a year Today you stand at life's cusp 'tween darkness and the light Please don't you surrender, hang in there and fight I am holding to you … covering you in might Hold onto to the daylight and now forsake the night Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Keth darling sister of the light, holder of the dreams and keeper of my hearts song YOU have written wonderful illuminating and glorious pieces before I know I’ve read them and they shine with a clear and loving light. This however is incandescent it truly illuminates the soul with hope and joy. This is a wonderful gift to your friend I LOVE IT and I’m sure whomever this was written for will utterly utterly adore it. YOUR writing shines. Never doubt you offer inspiration. And how many times must I beg you not to keep out flying and out classing me at each opportunity you get Hmmm? It’s not necessary you know everyone knows you write beautifully, now let me catch up You know I love this don’t you? Of course you do now go and write something I can keep up with.
