Scralwed on carpets of forever
symbols stretch in endless lines,
etched in rows this fragile tether
binds us to some grand design.

Reminisences of heather,
flowerd scents of flagrant blooms,
comfort of the down and feather,
sleep enfolds us in it's womb.

Patterns of a phrase repeating,
droplets forming into pools.
Images so swift and fleeting
inked in swirls, the poets' tools.

Morning mist born of the dawning
eons now and worlds away,
children in their beds are yawning,
Angels watch them where they lay.

Time itself begins unfolding
re-created in your hands
destinies to be re-told bring
you into a wondrous land .

Set in motion are the planets,
spooled into this yarn with care,
fooled to think you understand it's
not important you're aware.

Vaguely hours pass in procession,
sheep unto the shepherd flock,
leaving you with the impression
Dali's hands now sweep the clock.

Seraphim control your futures,
guarding o'er your sleeping form,
on a whim Pan plays the flute your
dreams have now become the norm.

Now I lay my cares beside me,
should they rise before I wake,
shield me from them otherwise
this book of dreams will I forsake.

You sir, write like a hobbit boasting excellent mead!

I could not wait for part II, but it was well worth it.

Kethry,
My sincere thanks.
Once in a while we can rise above the norm.
Personally, I feel this may be one such occasion.

Noah,
Once again your comments are too kind. To be honest, I often feel as if I'm only the messenger, not the one who writes the message. Be well.
Doc

Silver Streak,
Thank you. While words have always held a fascination for me, it has been a relatively short time that I have been trying to write.
Poetry, to me, offers intellectual stimulation, with the added contradiction
of freedom of expression within a set form.
A paradox which echoes life, to be studied,
embraced,and made one's own.
Doc

Sunshine,
Thank you. I think I did hear, and, it sounded a delight on the winds from the plains.

Take me to this land of wonder,
lead me on the path of dreams
Guide me through the booming thunder,
within each vision's changing themes

Take me through the mist forever,
lost upon this world you're weaving
While making the dawn come never,
from this land I'll not be leaving

*sigh* Absolutely stunning. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
