Listening to every heart

Lost Soul Surroundings

I will never try
to make you understand
because I know there are too many sides
in this, the element of the soul
too short of a corner here
and a mirror from the circus
over there
making false images
as you turn that corner ‘round
and come crashing
to the ground

I can only hope you continue
to travel through this a-mazing soul
searching
because all you have looked for is right…
here…
and I wasn’t ready to give up
nor give flight just yet
unless you do…

regardless that you might want
to wing on alone
I will wing on then, too
albeit in another direction
knowing that I once had you
safe

even though you did not know
the elements of
this soul

Kari,
when you write you light the sky with your life yearnings. Beautiful!
