i love to love,
just like some love to eat
we all feed on our own liking
we all have our favourite

yes, sometimes it is more difficult to choose
but my love,
between the world and you,
i would choose you
ninety-nine times out of hundred,
the one miss would be
an honest mistake

can you forgive that mistake,
if i say i'm sorry
bent on one knee
with eyes stooped
down
to the earth?

can you be convinced?
will you?

can you then give me another chance?
will you?

there may not be true love
though, deep within ourselves,
it is something we can't live without
just a part of us that wants something,
someone to love,
yes, to love...

like the air that we breathe
like the food that we eat
like the clothes that we need
like the shelter that we seek

will you shelter me?
protect me under your roof of love?
i promise to pay rent always,
and on time

my rent will be unequivocal
an infallible presence,
hovering like a friend in need

my ears shall hear your words
and my heart shall feel your pain
and my soul shall share my joy
and yours too...
and my shoulder will be free for you
to lean on
any time
all the time

and yet, if there is anything you find amiss
all you have to do is
speak to me
yes, speak
...

after all,
i have to offer is me and my love
and lots of respect

(smiles) Yes, love always has a mistake and eternity is not inevitable at first sight, but if we always cherish and nurture love, it will grow to last forever!
