Angelic Tears Wings adorn the back of me sweeping, graceful angelic limbs, status symbols of past life led, holy gifts superlative – yet I cry. I miss the touch of flesh and blood, silken hair across my hand sparkling, laughing loving eyes, body-hot, questing lips - pressed hard on mine. Angelic forms surround my pain gentle eyes say they understand, but I miss the touch of flesh and blood pounding heart beating next to mine, how can they know what I feel, how can they feel what I left behind? Wings adorn the back of me frayed and torn useless things gray, shabby gossamer gown, dull and fading holy light barely burning...in the depths of me. w. james beard, jr.
