Out there...somewhere in the galaxies, the stars. I know you are there...your eyes gleaming so. I have looked for you countless times, elusive. Each trek carrying me further into deepest space. I have tiptoed around black holes so menacingly. Jumped over the moon, whirled around a comet. Bathed in the Little Dipper before evening light. Sipped of the cold freshness of the Milky Way. I have done all of these things....all for you. For I shall journ till there is no moon, no sky. Till the hotness of the Sun no longer warms. Till my last breath let, heart beating no more. I guess I could say I miss you, all of you. That...I will continue my trek through time. That...nothing else shall quench this thirst. For I have tasted the finest wine...your lips. |
