The Shangri-la of your smile
warms like a summer breeze
upon islands of no return

bronze bodies sway
in rum swizzle winds
as steel drums play
beneath emerald fans
of Calypso palms

soft pearly sands
entice bare toes
wiggling them, Cha Cha Cha
as Bermudian winds blow

sweet harmony
of turquoise waters
and whispering seashells
Shangri-la of your smile
transports me
to paradise for a while

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.

Yes! That is the best idea yet. Nothing like a steel band and dancing under the palm trees (Or so I would imagine, as I have never been able to find someone to do this with)

All that, hidden in the Himalayas.
Imagine that

A beautiful poem, Victoria...it literally transported me to a tropical beach on this snowy winter day.

Gee Victoria, your poem almost made yesterday's ice storm seem like a distant memory!
Enjoyed this sudden warm-up greatly.
