Roses petunias and pansies
So much color do I see
Such beauty all around me
What a lovely place to be

I meander past the tree ferns
As new fronds begin to unfurl
In my garden I escape
And venture into another world

As I bask in the sunshine
And enjoy its warming rays
Summer is finally here
With its lovely long days

In amongst my birch trees
I'm at one with my thoughts
Such a calming place to visit
When I'm feeling out of sorts

Jasmine and gardenias
So exquisite are their blooms
With a fragrance heaven sent
All above me it looms

A paradise alive with color
How very hard it is to believe
That nearly all of this beauty
Was lovingly created by me

A place for me to be at peace
So much joy does this garden bring
A place to reflect and think of loved ones
As many birds now take wing

Here I stand amongst my flowers
Watering my garden with love
As I imagine many cupids
Bringing joy from up above

Is that movement I see
Near the toadstool on the lawn
Could this be another fairy
That has just been born

In my garden they roam
It's like heaven on earth
A place to escape
And feel at one with Mother Earth

So much solitude my garden gives me
Every time that I spend there
As I'm transported to another world
So very tranquil without a care

It's time to leave my garden paradise
Chores to be done - not so nice
I leave with a smile
But very soon I'll return
To my favourite of places
This place that I yearn

(smiles) Ooohhhhhhhh....this is soooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love it!!! (kiss on cheek) Oh my gosh, I love your words no matter how long they are, you picture the beauty of your garden so enchantingly, you heart blossoms to us all with all the colors of Mother Nature lovingly! We all love you so much, sweet friend, I'm adding this to my library, this is fabulous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!
