Listening to every heart

Sonnet I

To grasp, without entangling, a string
To cache lines, a beam of light to bring
To you, here, and in this now of moment
For calm are thoughts by you so solemn sent

A calm marooned, warmth of soul, lonely sigh
Lies within scattered thoughts of you and I
Serene, seen upon scene of yet to come
Believing to know that you are The One

To see in shadows mist of waning night
To what will be gleaned come swift morning’s light
A belief true in this the you of me
To hear my name on your lips, for you see…

To hold as token, cachet of belief
One day to breath again, sweet, sweet relief

Karilea!  This is beautifully penned.  I really enjoyed this one tonight.  Wish I could write a sonnet.  Perhaps one day I will give it a go.  Well done!

Karilea, this is a very, very beautiful sonnet. By the way, my posting of a funny sonnet was in no way related to your priceless treasure. Forgive me.

This whole thing is beautiful, but those last two lines are real heart stealers. Always enjoyed.

Well this is oh so lovely....
I do so enjoy being sonnetized in the Sunshine
This is a beautiful write K, and the vocabulary is unique, clever and creative, as is the inner rhyme you laced thru it...both of which made this sonnet even more impressive.

This is just so gorgeous! And, of course it's going right into my library!

I think that it's time to add your name to the list of the queens of sonnets!

Take care,
