Parachutes and minds "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." NIV Romans 12:2 Toot your flute let 'em hear your cry 'Tis good to know the reason why Parachutes and minds are alike Both must be open for good flights? To safely float through clouds on high Or understand God's reasons why We catch the breeze or winds of thought To find safe ground or what God wrought. It only goes to show us now We must go slow and learn somehow That careful action is astute Cause when we fail to open chutes We commute to earth, comminute. And when we fail to open minds Reduce our brains to smaller kinds Will only be sad compunction We just kill mental functions. Parachutes and minds must open. Newell darling boy Open hearts, open hands open minds and opened doors. Yes this is a wonderful wonderful poem And yes like unopened parachutes closed minds will kill the spirit sooner than anything else. Absolutely outstanding writing as always your writing flows like water over the dessert of the soul. Like a refreshing shower of light that sprinkle comprehension. And I love it but you knew that didn’t you?
