When you find yourself in sudden danger, Is there a loud rushing sound in your ears? Could it be the sound of wings? Does your chest feel so tight That it's hard to breathe, As though you were caught In a supernaturally strong embrace? Do you ask for protection every day So it's there when you have no time to pray? Nan darling girl Oh my I knew you were good, but I never knew you were this good. Do you know how good this really is? Not just the sentiments although they are excellent. I mean the construction the flow the internal rhythm this is utterly stunning. I’m not often presented with such delight, I’ve seen wonder and been astounded by it before, this however is utterly utterly fantastic. You’ve surpassed yourself here. You’re always a good writer, in this you’re a great writer Do I love this? What do you think? …………. Dear Noah, Thank you for your loving reply. We do forget sometimes. Dear Marsha, Now, now. If I ever wrote something really good you'd have nothing left to say, would you? I just got to wondering about the way I've felt the few times I've been really terrified in my life, and if there could be some explanation other than the usual. Tight moment in time piece. Adrenaline does not lend itself to prayer ... at least not until later and you're right .... better to cover that at the beginning of the day. never try to teach a pig to sing |
