Its amaaazing what chocolate
will do for your day
just one little morsel
keeps troubles at bay

don't need a prescription for antidepressants
with Paxil and Prozac
you can finally stop messing

a sweet kiss of chocolate
can soothe all your fears
lighten your mood
and switch all your gears

so when you feel blue
why not try something new
you won't need any drugs
just some big chocolate hugs

there is no description
that fits this prescription

nothing compares with the feeling of bliss
from a sweet taste of chocolate
shaped into a kiss

Lyra,
A prescription of excellent application. I'm sure you had my name in there too! So I will indulge as well. Fun write. Thanks.

HAHAHA very nice madame..I have read that chocolate when eaten, releases a chemical in your body that puts you in a good mood. That's why my husband and kids buy me lots of chocolate, but they are not good for the hips. LOL...very nice,,,think I'll go have a piece now. floria

It's quite the prescription,
It defies description
For what ails us,
It cures us in haste

But for all that it does
To make us feel loved
I sure hate
What it does to my waist!

never try to teach a pig to sing
it wastes your time AND annoys the pig

Now those kisses are addictive, but hey no side effects     I wrote a poem dedicated to you and your sons, please read if you haven't
yet. My first performance as Polonius came off quite well Sunday nite and by the way it's
flame time

Larry...Yes, you may indulge yourself in some chocolate...it had your name on it too...in fact, this chocolate expands to meet the demands...so there will be enough for all of us...thanks for replying

Floria...thanks,  the chemical that is released is called endorphins....the feel good chemical.

Joanna...thanks for your reply....some kisses for you too!

Bart...thanks for that cute poetic response...and I agree, the only trouble with chocolate is if you eat too much of it, it goes right to your waiste

Nancy....thanks for the reply and the hugs, now here's some chocolate for you.

Stevie...thanks much, now here's some more chocolate to add to your collection.  I hope this one doesn't make you sick.

Martin...thanks for the lovely poem, I just read it and replied to it earlier this evening.  There is one side effect to chocolate....and that is that it causes weight gain if eaten in sufficient quantities.  Here...have a piece.

Thanks Nan...I love chocolate, don't you?
Its the ultimate comfort food! I could eat it constantly all day long...and still want more.
