In Sunlight And In Shadows

We’ve fronted many events in
the spans of our life
Since we met each-other and
became man and wife
We’ve journeyed in the sunshine
basked in it by day
Traveled in the darkness keeping
shadows at their bay
In brightness we are without care
rejoicing in true love
Sunshine conveys great happiness
and all else thereof
Yet when darkness befalls us and
times get a little rough
It’s then we press together, it’s
then that we get tough
It’s the strength of “Together”
that enables us to win
Our potency is in our union
and the souls within
With hearts that beat together, we
firmly stand our ground
Even in the darkest shadows, great
closeness is yet found
In sunlight and in shadows, we
will travel as a team
In sunlight and in shadows, our
love will reign supreme

Very nicely done Brian! It's almost God bless America all over again.

Brian I LOVE THIS...when my better half and I go through a storm, it seems so difficult, but when we are past it, we both realize how much stronger we are. And I do believe God meant it to be that way. Too many people have problems and just give up too easily. This is a terrific poem. floria

*sigh* you do know, Brian, that even the title of this poem is romantic...You have the true soul of a poet and your wife is very blessed to hold you close and be held close through sunlight and shadows. *sigh* I love it. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Hello Brian

This was stunning. Such a wonderful dedication to a special union of souls. I'm sure you and your wife compliment each other in everything you do.

Take care.....Sue
