Sometime you find someone who never encourages you but tries to put you down.

I once met a bug
Quite intelligent actually
I could recite to it
It would intently listen
But it seems that I could never satisfy it

No matter how I try
The words would never be there
To sway it
To enjoy it totally
Try as I might

It started growing annoying
For pest it was starting to become
Putting my work always down
Never any encouragement

Well it seems one day I took a shoe
I picked it up
I did not do what you think I did
For I am more human than that

It seems I put a microphone in my shoe
And when it crawled to listen
I then took it to the trash
And deposited my old smelly shoe

It seems the bug
Was carried off
Is now making a living
Reciting my poetry

How do you figure?

D Lester Young,
Now that really bugs me and you said it so well!
