Fragile wildflower,
trampled,
from seedling's start.
Soul with leaky weak heart
clinging tenaciously
to unforgiving rocks
and a wasteland of weeds,
struggling for survival
in an economically
Darwinian world.
Not much hope there.
But now and then
a gentle hand reaches out
and touches the heart of me,
treats me as a
treasured wildflower,
with Truth and Love.
And I taste just enough
refreshing dew
to hang in there
another day.
If not for myself,
then for you.

Midnite--it is amazing how such fragile things can live...by adapting and being tenacious..and of course...for love.  I was pondering similar thoughts today.

"struggling for survival

We seem to be on the same page in more ways than one. A nice light, metaphor, but some very serious thought. VERY nice!

Martie, thank you. Yes, tenacity and love are a powerful combination.

Serenity, perhaps we are under the influence of the same moon and star patterns today.

Oh, Sauni, thank you. Big hugs to you, these words could easily have been written with your quill. But this morning they just happened to drip from mine.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, this is sooooooo beautiul, sweet friend, there are always those that can hurt us and trample upon our hearts and make us feel unloved, but there will always be wildflowers that bloom in the gardens of our hearts and reflect their love to us as we hang on and share more love! (kiss on cheek) Soooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

we all need to have our gardens tended too...
some times the rain falls gently..like the gift of this lovely write of vulnerability.

I love the way you have put this Kacy. Yes, our hearts are like fragile wildflowers, so easily damaged. Thank God for those hands that reach out to touch our hearts, and make us remember that yes, we do indeed still have room for love.

Lauren, thank you. Yes, the fragile have a way of finding the needed sorces of strength.

Victoria, thank you. Sometimes it is hard to find a smile. Then I come and read, and some Pipster makes me smile and laugh.
