Driven...in response to Logan's "Watchers"

I sit on the sidelines, can see what they see.
Waiting, they are, for the failure of me.
Fallen I have, from the mountain on high
but the angels have caught me and drift me on by.

They see what is real and the strength that I hold.
Maybe I'm forward and brazen and bold,
but I've learned from my life, it is I in control.
If I stumble and falter, I must save my own soul.

Driven, I am, in a passionate way,
mind overworking the words wished to say.
Dreaming in dreams, of a future's begin,
pursuing a path that fulfills from within.

A heart in it's rhythms, keeps seeking it's tune,
To conquer the fears for this child of the moon.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, we are all children of the moon and we are all destined to pursue our paths and hang on to the rhythm we sing! so true M..we all must save our own souls..and whether we like it or not we are in control but sometimes fear holds us back...hugss...nicely done

Wonderful poem Maureen!!!!Yes, through hardship we grow. You have penned this so well, Bravo dear friend.....BTW..I do believe in angels picking us up after a fall!!!

maureen...... this piece is exquisite... it soars... you are the moon and the halo around it and all the truths you speak are so beautifully penned and damn!! i'm so very impressed with the meter and no lost syllables, no missing of a beat.... you've written a wonderful work here, my friend
