Surrounded by strangers, all faces unknown
wrapped up in a world of our making
It all comes so natural, we’re not really here
just a figment for somebody’s taking...

A figment that bends to the shapes that it must
when survival means living that way
Identity, needs, and the entire lot of existence
wipe quickly away...

So easy to see in the faces of ones whom we chose
as our lovers, our friends
The walls just rise higher, to hide doors that shut
on the things that we thought would not end...

We’re not really here, we can open our windows
and exit our ramshackled booths
There’s nothing to learn but that life is illusion
perceived as a figment of truth...

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end!

(sigh) Such a deep and contemplative piece, sweet friend, life is indeed an illusion, but if we reach out to others with sincerity and offer love that's real, life can be such a beautiful suprise and joy! (kiss on cheek) Soooooooo wonderfully said, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sunnyone, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sunny:

Very powerful write.  I have read it a few times and each time I get more and more out of it.  I especially love this part:

"So easy to see in the faces of ones whom we chose as our lovers, our friends
The walls just rise higher, to hide doors that shut on the things that we thought would not end..."

You are fantastic and we love you!

Sunnyone, I like the turn of phrase here, 'figment of truth' and this line especially:
"There’s nothing to learn but that life is illusion
perceived as a figment of truth..."
PS, the truth is its really cold here tonight, -35F. And you are smiling from 'sunny' England. Keep singing sweet songbird! We miss you here in Alaska.

Oh, I am glad that you enjoyed this, as it just came floating to me, and my pen had to spit it out!!!  Thank you!!!

~~~ Noah ~~~
Ah yes, and I do so agree that we get what we give, and I always love the sweetness of your thoughts in reply!!!  Carry on, dear heart!! (Thank you!!)
~~~ Ariana ~~~
Sometimes it is just such a shock to realize that what we saw in our 'chosen' ones is changed, and our perception is different than what it used to be!  I love you too!!

~~~ James M ~~~
yes, sometimes it does!!!  Thank you!!!
oh, that is much to cold for this Alaskan rose!!!  I am finding it much to my liking here in the warm and friendly climate of this ancient land!!!  My roots grow longer every day, and yes, I am still singing!!
Thank you!!
I have thought like this often. Life seems a sick joke sometimes. This is clever and has a fun rhyme to it, even while saying some pretty serious thing.
