Why does it matter, the color of one’s skin?
Why can’t we just see the heart that’s within?
The blood’s the same color in all our veins.
Why must each skin tone have it’s own name?

Asian or white, black or brown,
the heart is where the real man is found.
God created man, each and everyone
to reflect the image of the Father and Son.
Our heart should mirror their mercy and love.
No matter what shade the skin’s composed of.

There’s only one blood that differs from ours ~
the blood of Christ with its saving power.
It cleanses, saves, and takes away sin.
It offers eternal life ~ Amen, Amen!

Cheryl darling girl, Oh my I knew you were good, but I never knew you were this good. Do you know how good this really is? Not just the sentiments although they are excellent. I mean the construction the flow the internal rhythm this is utterly stunning.

I’m not often presented with such delight, I’ve seen wonder and been astounded by it before, this however is utterly utterly fantastic.

You’ve surpassed yourself here. You’re always a good writer, in this you’re a great writer

Do I love this? What do you think? …………. YES I love it

Absolutely first class writing

Love and warm stuff

(sad sigh) Sooooooo sad but beautiful, sweet friend, my heart goes out to us all and I pray that someday we can respect and recognize each others hearts rather than by race, for we all have a heart and we all have dreams and love, and only He has a greater love and power! (kiss on cheek) Sooooooo well said, sweet friend, w eall love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Cheryl, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Cheryl. I cannot tell you how close to my heart this is. I am talking to someone on the internet who was so abused because of the color of skin. How very sad our world it. This is wonderful. floria

Noah, what a wonderful world this could be if we could accept each other's hearts instead of judging a book by its cover. Alas, I'm not sure I'll see it in my lifetime but maybe you can change the world with your gift of words. Thanks, Cheryl

Floria, how terribly sad for your friend. I posted this after reading Lyra's poem "Report Card." I have two beautiful grandchildren who are racially mixed from Korean, Caucasian, African American and Native American. I call them my little "Tiger Woods." I hope by the time they're adults, we will have made some progress in this area. Thanks as always, Cheryl
