        The Clutch

see this
it is mine
and I opened up
the clutch of
my hand
and sitting gently
on my palm
was my life
under my command
in the past
I had freely
given it
and a few
took it
to control
but I could not
fly without air
and a broken spirit
you can not console
so you see
why I carry
my life
close within
my clutch
it is
something precious
and I finally
know its touch

Oh my goodness!! Another beauty for my library. Thankyou for this. Chris
