Plain White Envelope Her own handwriting and every line printed in the deepest of blue That three page letter began with, "I know you'll never understand." Clearly a letter written straight from her heart but never sent So, in the middle of loneliness she reads it over and over again... Her heart was poured out there on that stationary resembling the sky The background of clouds and trimmed slightly with green And, in the left hand corner were her initials stamped in gold Three single sheets filled with thoughts she couldn't let him read... In there were futuristic moments she wished for the two of them And, paragraphs so vividly written with love You could tell by the writing in places where her heart took the lead Almost unable to read as if she just couldn't write fast enough... Often telling him she knows he'll never understand how she feels She goes on to explain how the rain left her never the same But, she can't tell him how she's managed to feel once again She just knows something about him made her change... So, she hides all this in that plain white envelope Because how could he believe she could want anything real She fears their position and how they met in life Would be the answer to why she feels what she feels... It is so not about what he can do for her these days It's about what's clearly seen beyond the eyes It's about loving someone she surely shouldn't at all That's why she takes her thoughts to the pages of that sky... To that familiar crease in the middle of those three pages she holds To never making anything of it she'll remain unknown With a deep breath and a sigh she folds it again And, tucks it back inside that plain white envelope... *sigh* such powerful emotions written in this poem....it is like what is kept hidden in the white envelope....Absolutely stunning poem. **big hugs**  Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

I loved this piece, I know what its like to have such strong feelings for someone but to keep it hidden. It was a poem really from the heart, but it intrigued me I wanted to know more!!!
