She began the day tough and proud Her heart beating with the footsteps of a million friends Going to work or just doing their daily errands Then from the clouds came the evil spirit Swooping down with the intention to take her life, Open wings of hatred he struck at her heart She buckled with pain and suffering She tries with her pride dented to stand her ground tall and fair Her spirit within hurting and crying she shouts out for help Then with tears from her soul within she collapses and dies She falls from grace with angel tears we weep Innocents lost why did they have to die All for being at the right place at the wrong time, Sacrificed to a evil man With there new angel wings adorned ascend concrete stairs to heaven A line of angel’s accept the innocent on this September day Back on ground zero strangers become friends with people helping people With tears in their eyes they shout out for loved ones we know are lost The fire fighters and police officers crying out with broken voices we shall not be defeated and with a passion undaunted came the cry usa-usa The cherished ones we lost this day were not in vain Now we must join together, to nurture, to be stronger than ever This nation will grow from the ashes once again tall and true Stronger than ever hand in hand one voice…united A stronger homeland was reborn today from this heartbreak The time for healing is now God bless America for you will rise again |

Yogi, thank you for this. I often wonder if people have kept the thought of 9 11 in the back of their mind...I see you have kept it in the front of your mind, and in the center of your heart... good for us! God Bless the USA... |

yes, 9-11 is still on my mind. I can't believe that it's been over 4 months since that happened. Thank you for sharing this. |
