The grandfather clock ticks behind us
As the rain falls so heavily outside
It's in front of the roaring fire
Where you and I now reside

Like a log that burns brightly in the fire
So does my love burn for you
Beneath this warming amber glow
There's so much that we could do

Our bodies glow in profile from the firelight
As you tenderly put my hair behind my ears
Then your arms reach slowly around me
And draw my body towards you so near

The wine is the color of rubies
In the crystal glass I hold in my hand
We've now captured each others attention
And together as one we both stand

You take my face in your hands and you kiss me
I suddenly feel so very weak at the knees
Our passions without a match are ignited
As we are both so very eager to please

Our bare feet sink seductively into the sheepskin
The place where our fine love will succumb
Two hearts will be beating in time
As two souls will so soon become one
