Velvet curtains drawn aside,
spotlights circle around the room.
disappearing where shadows fall,
cast against the backdrop.

Contemplating the drama,
the audience shifting in their seats.
Excitement fills the air,
the sound of drums roll with anticipation.

Glistening water spills in the background
a musical soundtrack, echo's in a dream
each flame of the fire burning,
at the edge of my seat.

Stars struck, creating the glamour,
the cast of life plays out in separate acts.
The visuals of death, the present glory,
portraying the embodiment of a person.

Out of reach, and out of touch
but always within sight.
An unforgettable theme,
misplaced in the second scene.

Pensive as I stare, starry eyed,
captivated by a bit part.
Scripted in my heart
makes me want to cry.

His autograph scribbled on my program.
The high price of admission
that keeps me entertained
staged behind closed doors.

I love it! It is a refreshing, unique POV, and the ending was perfect.

This is very well written and the message between the lines is as strong as the lines themselves. Very entertaining read and very well done.

I tend to write in metaphors more times
than not, it gives me something to go on
when all else fails me.
