So Spoke He I hear the roar of Eden’s shore Shallow echoes of years before Muffled in time the outer rind All in the hollow of my mind A different age a different page A time of gage, a time of rage. There was no mend there was no bend There only seemed to be an end. I raped the fair of Eden’s lair Used the garden without a care. I did her shame refused the blame And never once gave thought to aim. A garden lost now sparse and thin I soiled the very core within And now I have no peace of mind For death now stands just right behind. It speaks to me in fettered word My dear you’ve killed the mocking bird. |

Sy I see you're still writing great poetry. Even though you're a heathen I still like you anyway! Do these verses mean you're the Devil? Any Stinky...the impact of that closing couplet...is classic Sy-poetry...and the reason we come back for more...the reason we learn from your rhymes divine.  Me |
