Silent Gallop in the Night

"When morning takes it's first breath"
no longer do I share it's born.
Wondering, I, what little time
hast passed, as age and I now mourn.

The candles once, lit staged for two,
a crescent moon hast slimmed to nil.
No moonlit day to guide this heart
to missing knight of daytime fill.

Perhaps 'twas just an idol dream,
romantic touch, a bit of whim.
Maybe 'twas only fairytales
of princesses and prince of him.

Someday, the steed will gallop to
an open window, 'neath chamber room.
Birds will sing of love once more,
some he will lift me from this tomb

To take this Lady's hand in hold,
release the heart that's memoir bound.
Her words, sincere will fall to him,
her breath again, will then be found.

Lady Ollyne

Oh yes!! I do hope a handsome knight upon his brave steed does take the lady's hand and lead her from this place of lonely memories. Love this. Chris

I read this yesterday but didn't respond,
I was out taking horse back riding lessons!
No, seriously, this is medievil and gorgeous
writing.  Nothing like a little step back in
time.  Thank you.

I envy your ability to write in medieval times so eloquently. This is so very beautiful and picturesque. Thanks for sharing.

I am sooooo fascinated by the style of Lady O...
I think, seeing most of them by now, this is one of your
finest moments, but you have had soooo many, Lady.
