Mushy’s Birthday By Larry Chadwick When writing a poetic verse, It’s hard to not get Mushy. But for that romantic stuff, It’s pretty easy to get gushy. I know a girl who is so cute, She lives across the sea. Spunkiest thing I’ve ever known, And funny as can be. A little birdie spoke to me, Using bright pink words. It seems she has a birthday, Reducing her age by thirds. That would make her twenty-one, According to her new math. And I am sure she’s right, Although it makes me laugh. So if she’s here on this fine day, Instead of cutting cake with her knife. Please, be sure to wish her well. But shouldn’t she get a life? |

Happy birthday Marsha. And I like that idea of reducing your birthday by thirds. Think I'll try that one. What a cute poem Larry. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |
