I've Dreamed Of You For So Long, My Love
By: Noah Eaton
1/15/02

I've dreamed of you for so long, my love
I never thought anyone would ever love me
I thought I might as well sacrifice myself
Who would ever want a foolish boy like me?

Then before I knew it, I found the most perfect love
She is an angel, the one I've always dreamed of
She's the one I want to hold so badly
She is all I ever wanted, cooing to my heart like a dove

I am always so very happy with her
She is all I wanted for Christmas, she is all I wanted my whole life
She is who I want to rest with every night
I dream of her being my angelic future wife

She gave to me a souvenir, a loves sweet treasure
Symbolized as an angel, chanting like a music box softly
Tears came to my face, I never heard a sound so heavenly
I wanted to kiss you so badly, I wanted to hold you dearly

Then my dreams shattered, the gift fell from my hands
Smashing on the cold ground in tear-jerking crash
My heart has broken, all my love is gone
I'm just a broken angel with a broken heart, shattered and thrashed

I fall to my knees, holding the broken pieces in my arms
Flooding in tears looking into her gorgeous sweet face
Reminding me of a love I could have had
That I wanted so badly, that my parents and distance stood in the way

I cry, bellowing
"I just wanted to hold her,
I just wanted to kiss her,
I just wanted to love her!"

I've dreamed of you for so long, my love
Now my love is all stolen and gone
Here I sit in silence, nobody loves me
A shattered lover with everything but unheard poetry lost

This is bittersweet, and sad Noah, and I hope you find your partner one day, and that love will be yours forever. Lovely poem. floria

Noah, Oh this is so sad. Take heart dear one, love is never really far away. Chris

Aw Noah, these tears that you weep, many have felt.  Wip these tears away my friend, as you will meet the love of your life, trust me.  Nicely written poem, I liked it.

Noah, this is so tender and sad. It's lovely poetry but I'm not sure if it's personal or just well written. Either way, you've done a great job of expressing yearning and loss. I hope it's not the real feelings of your heart. You are too kind to feel such pain. Cheryl

Oh, Noah! ( This is soooo sad and beautiful! It reminds of Romeo and Juliet... star-crossed lovers. It made my heart ache with the love and pain that was so well expressed in this! You, sweet Noah, have a beautiful heart, and we all love you so much! Remember that always! And keep your chin up, things do work out in ways we cannot always see and understand from the start. It's true, hindsight IS 20/20. Thanks for sharing this heartfelt read with us!

Love,

Noah:
"I cry, bellowing"
"I just wanted to hold her,
I just wanted to kiss her,
I just wanted to love her

Just remember that we all love you.  Such a sad poem coming from a wonderful heart.  I needed lots of kleenex.  Very emotional words.
