My dog and I went out back tonight he sat I stood and smoked a cigarette we both heard the silence it was impressive even at this hour. Absolute quiet can heal wounds too raw to speak. Absolution comes in the simplest forms. |

Ah, the sounds of silence. But now I'm hearing Simon and Garfunkle. I'm glad you have your pal back home with you. |

Duncan...this is fabulous... I couldn't agree more and found beauty with you in this description of a simple moment of peace. |

Yes, it’s amazing how still everything is at that time of the morning. Too cold for me at this time of the year, but I like to do that in the summer. Absolute quiet, absolution...sounds very peaceful. (hey, who gave ya the absolution...was the priest there with you…or was it the dog????) If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Duncan, It's amazing the power silence has. Absoulute silence does not come to often for me, so when it does it is definately a time to treasure. Thank you for sharing Hugs, Tara "My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read" |

Absolute quiet can heal wounds too raw to speak. Absolution comes in the simplest forms. ============================= your consise words of impact took us to the moment with you...and not a word, image or emotion more than was needed, was exchanged... very cool writing Duncan...your style has come to define less is indeed more when the pen is held by a gifted poet of a succinct muse he said ... "dont cry" ... |
