Tit for tat..just some thoughts on retaliation. Tom Wales worked diligently throughout the night to curtail the spread of speeding bullets. And the next day one stopped him in his tracks. Karam farmers toiled long hours in the fields to grow enough to feed their hungry children. Next day torn apart by bombs of retaliation. A Taliban man races past the corpses in the field to re-enforce the hillside bunker so he can have a piece of the action of retaliation. She nurses a sore arm, twisted hard by a small child unable to manage his anger and frustration. She consoles his aching heart, in retaliation. He picks up the baseball bat just thrown at him, hands it back to the frustrated player, and asks, "Was my call unfair? Do we need new rules out there?" Retaliation. May the ripple of LOVE |

This is good....I really don't believe in retaliation...I leave that to God..HE gets 'em in the end. |

Exactly. My point being, to 'retaliate' with love and understanding. Not everyone agrees with this, I know. But I don't see any other way to stop the insanity, the seemingly endless cycle of kill, kill, kill. We need to arm ourselves with more compassion and less metal. |

I agree! When is the fighting and hatred going to end? I often ask myself if we'll ever have world peace, but only God knows if and when we will! |

I do not believe in WAR, yet I know it happens, and sadly in the end there are NO winners.....I have always said turn the other cheek, for some reason I believe, that will get the enemy more then fighting.....this is powerful, and so well written.... PEACE Greeneyes~ I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart. Rose Petal thank you for your reply. Greeneyes, Hugs and Peace to you. During the 60's I wore a T shirt that said, "War is nice not for children, and other living things." I wore that T shirt out, and need a new one. It seems as if many never saw that message, never took it to heart, or chose to ignore it. I may need several more T shirts in my lifetime. May the ripple of LOVE |
