Zhivago Most write of love as though their heart were but a garden subject to the errant weed but otherwise kept by the seasonal application of interest as in the spring when delicate hands glove to shovel compost. To them pain comes silently into the palm, a blister, that, upon return to the kitchen, yields to ointment. They never learn the howling of this winter steppe; the shudder when the ice breaks beneath the weight of desire; the catch of breath when from a distant line of trees a wolf leaps into the moonstruck. Sir, you took a name from my past and made it come alive again...and brought with it the winter landscape and the music of yesterday... thank you again... |

And, as I read, haunting strains of Lara's Theme played ever so gently in my mind. I could see the ice and snow beautifully.. clearly! This is a keeper! Oh...did I say I enjoyed this? Very much so! hugs, Nancy. ~Time has cast a spell on you, |
