Sometimes a side street holds itself in chatter, the only, lonely way to keep. We find nickels and whispers around corners, and the tattler remains in circles, you'll see. It's me. On my way to concrete calling. And so, I will summon a sea, into this bleeding. A salt in sting around the day. - Ha. The only way. To see a sign of foreign in your veins. Gas lamps illuminate the rest, and I witness here, higher than before, floating above the dictation in a swing of self sacrifice. Oh today, is on my mind - and a silence kills the cry. Avenues corrupt instead of feed, you see. It's the hidden, hushed spaces of the side street that heal. Or attempt. Not your chaos, on a stick. Or truth so bold it swallows breath. For I can no longer see a way, my path burned free from yesterday - I fear it's far too fancy for me now. |

Sweetheart, your poetry is deep....deep....sink your teeth into kind of reading, I love it!! Many times I will write something, you know, and come back later to it and even I don't understand it so I salvage it, but a piece like this is layered and one just reads over and over again. It's heart poetry. Kathleen |

You have a very old soul in a person so young...and this can be a good thing. I do so like reading your work... |

~Somehow, these stupid things I write help me to come closer to understanding (and breathe a little), if that makes any sense. - Anyway, I know that I rarely come back to a piece of mine and reply to your replies,...but know that I DO come back, and that I DO appreciate every pinch of thought and word left behind. Super huge thanks to these in particular. *Peace to all. |

Ahhh Alicia I can interpret this in different ways and you know, that's what I love about your poetry, apart from the brilliant imagery and the fantastic metaphors. Your poetry, like the "sidestreets" holds my mind in chatter. Exceptional writing as usual m'dear Maree |

the avenues and alleys of your mind. . . they show themselves here. . . and we just want to get lost in them. . . you know that I've always enjoyed your work. . . and still do. . . peace. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

...I ALWAYS enjoy your "silly things" SF...never a doubt in my mind, and I always wish I could write half the way you do...but in lieu of that, I always look forward to more from you with relish. jwesley |
