My Dear Little Kitty

Aw, you dear little kitty!
In from the country?
Welcome to the city.
Things are different here;
People act strange.
They don’t seem to hear
Our meows of sorrow and pity.
We walk through the streets
In hope we will meet
Some kind soul astride
Who might turn aside
To help a poor kitty.
Most don’t, you’ll find.
In the gutter you’ll
Probably up wind.
Oh, but don’t you worry,
My dear little kitty.
For that’s how things are
In the middle of the city.

Well, I love kitty poems, and this one is no exception. Poor little itty bitty kitty! Scoop him'her up and bring little kitty to me. OOPS, I am allergic to them. But my sister has 38(?) give or take a kitty or two. LOL, that's all she needs is another kitty! but I'll let her have this kitty ditty.
