Nothing Lasts Forever

awoke several times
this morning, last night
startled by your touch
your eyes watching
as I shifted in bed
positioning the warm body pillow
close to my face and breast
adjusting it to the length of me
mind words escaped
along with a tear
from the corner of my eye,
(unseen by you)
blinking hard, silently fighting back
I reached to increase the volume of the music
to drown out my thoughts
slowly rocking myself
as my eyes gradually closed
lay waiting 'til the light of morn
peeked throught the slats
calling to me
to begin a new day.

Oh my gosh....this felt like me. I only have a body pillow to hug too. My heart goes out to you for I know this kind of loneliness only too well. **hugs**

The emptiness is vast and complex.
When thought to be under some control
it manages to escape and overcome us,
once again giving breath to despair
and the lonliness inside,
the night within.

This was very touching,
shared from the heart.
Only time can ease such pain
and wipe each unseen tear.

Sadness can well up inside sometimes, then when the dam bursts, the sadness overflows everything. If you are lucky, the sun shines brilliantly moments later, and you are once again bathed in warmth and love.
May today bring warm sunshine thoughts your way.

Very touching. I feel that I may have taken this a bit differently than others. I feel a sadness that is being hidden from someone close. It is always best to let those we love know when we are not happy. *BIG HUGS* If I have read this incorrectly, I apologize.

Startime...I am only lonely in real...I carry special memories each night to rock me to sleep.hugss to you, too *s

RSWells...my life IS of anguish for now...too few moments of happiness...or peace.

catalinamoon...happiness is fleeting. I have found I am happiest when dreaming...no one can steal my dreams...like they have tried to steal my life.

ctowen...time takes so long though Craig..I don't have forever like I use to believe.*s

Midnitesun ..I haven't been too lucky of late. The possibilities are there..but it takes more than what I have to give to reach them. I bathe in warmth every evening, if only in my thoughts.

Abigaile..you are  correct..it is a hidden sadness...but it matters not if expressed to anyone...some situations are just never meant to be..even if thought so at one time. thank you for the hugs, they were needed.
