Rain pelts down on my sorrows,
and hides my salted tears.
Thunder echoes in the distance,
to cover my sobbing convulsions.
Lightning dashes through darkness,
to help my red-eyed vision.
The storm that explodes within
is shielded by the blessings
of mother nature without.
She pitys my dying heart
and so she sends me a disguise.

Awesome nature imagery! Abigail, this is very good. I like the positive twist you gave to that potentially frightening storm.

Like the idea of this.  Nature as a disguise.  Great write.

Yes..beautiful imagery. I can almost see you there shivering through it all. enjoyed.

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since

*sigh* I love storms, they give me a way to vent my feelings and awe me with their power. BRAVO! I like this poem very much. **Hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
